Small Beginnings

Yesterday I invited someone to my new boutique and I said, 'I know it's not much, but come see it." Almost as soon as the words were out of my mouth, I realized my mistake. Although it's true that my boutique and WorthShop space do not take up a great deal of square footage, it is a huge deal to me!

The name of my shop is North Star and in it, I sell gifts made by women-owned businesses. In the space across the hall, I have a WorthShop where I host small group gatherings, such as writing and painting classes, and private yoga, reiki, and pranayama sessions. I also offer accountability coaching.

Tonight is the grand opening, and I hope that these four walls become a space where women can see their dreams come true. Perhaps there’s a woman who has an idea for a business or a gift that would make herself or someone else smile. Perhaps she has a talent that she wants to share with others in one of the weekly WorthShops. Maybe she just needs community and knows that she can encounter other women with similar hopes and dreams. Regardless, this is a space for the mind, body, and spirit!

I have big hopes for this small space, and I really do know better than to knock small beginnings. After all, an oak tree begins as an acorn and an eagle as an eaglet. Everything starts somewhere!

For the woman who is reading this, how can I partner with you? What idea do you have that seems small right now but needs nurturing in order to grow into the big dream that you have for your life?

I can’t wait to hear all about it! Let’s deem big together!
